- Absolutely contraindicated with PDE5 inhibitors such as sildenafil or tadalafil
- Additive blood-pressure lowering with alcohol

- A daily nitrate-free interval is required or the drug stops working
- Headache is common early and usually fades
- This prevents angina. It does not treat an attack in progress
- Rise slowly from sitting or lying
