Privacy Policy
Last updated August 19, 2026
ExamDayReady is built to need as little of your personal information as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In plain terms: we don’t ask for your name or email to study, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run third-party ad tracking.
What we collect
- An anonymous ID. When you start studying, we store a random identifier in a cookie on your device so we can save your progress. It isn’t tied to your name or email.
- What you enter to run the app. This is essentially your target exam date and your answers and progress as you practice. We use these to compute your readiness score and decide what to show you next.
- Product events. We record a small number of events about how the Service is used — a first visit, starting a plan, reaching certain question counts, hitting the free limit, viewing pricing. Each event is stored with the anonymous ID above, or your account ID if you have given us an email, so it isnot anonymous aggregate data and we would rather say so plainly. We use it only to see where people get stuck. It is recorded on our own servers; no analytics company is involved and nothing is shared.
- Your email, only if you give it. After you have practised enough for a projected score, we offer to save your progress against an email address. It is optional, nothing is gated on it, and we use it to let you return to your progress and to reply if you write to us. We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
- Anything you send us. If you use the contact form, we store the message, the topic you picked, and the email you gave so we can reply.
- Payment information is collected only if you choose to purchase, and it is handled directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details.
What we don’t do
- We don’t require a name or email to use the study features.
- We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We don’t use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies
We use two essential cookies, both first-party. One holds your anonymous ID, for about 30 days; the other holds your account ID once you start a plan, for about a year. Your browser also stores your place in a lesson and whether you have switched the glossary off. Because these are required for the Service to work, none of them is used for advertising, and none is readable by another site. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings — doing so resets your progress on that device.
How we use your information
- To run the Service — save your progress and compute your readiness score.
- To personalize what you practice next based on your performance.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To process payments, if you buy paid access.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us operate — such as our hosting provider and, if you purchase, our payment processor — and only as needed to run the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law. We never sell it.
Data retention
We keep your progress data while your anonymous ID is active so your study history stays available to you. If you clear your cookie or stop using the Service, the associated data is no longer linked to you and may be deleted or de-identified in the ordinary course.
Your choices
- Clear your browser cookie to reset your identifier and progress.
- Use the Service without providing any name or email.
- Contact us to ask about the data associated with your device.
- Ask us to delete your email address and any message you have sent, at any time.
Children
The Service is intended for people preparing for a professional certification and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
