Questions & answers

The short version of how ExamDayReady works. Still stuck? Start free — no email or card.

Is ExamDayReady current for the 2026 PTCE?
Yes. Every question and lesson is built to the 2026 PTCE blueprint and its domain weights (Medications 35%, Patient Safety & Quality Assurance 23.75%, Order Entry & Processing 22.5%, Federal Requirements 18.75%). Our practice exam mirrors the real 90-question, 110-minute format.
How is this different from other PTCB prep?
Most courses give you a big pile of static quizzes. ExamDayReady is built on how memory actually works: spaced repetition resurfaces what you’re about to forget, concept-tied lessons teach a thing then immediately test that exact thing, and an honest readiness score shows where you truly stand instead of a feel-good number.
Can I get help if I’m stuck on a question?
Yes — it’s included, not an upsell. Every question in the bank is sourced: to an FDA label, a DEA or USP rule, the ISMP lists, or PTCB’s own content outline. So when you ask us about one, we can show you the reasoning and the authority behind it rather than just restating the answer. If you think a question is wrong, tell us — we check every report against the original source and fix what genuinely is. One limit worth stating plainly: we help with exam content, not clinical or patient-specific advice. For anything involving a real patient, ask the supervising pharmacist.
Is it free?
The whole reference — drug lookup, formula sheet, glossary — is free with no account. Start practicing with no email or card: your first 40 questions are free, which is enough to see your readiness score move. After that it’s $49 until you pass for every lesson, the full question bank, and full-length exams. One payment, no subscription.
Do I need to create an account?
Not to look things up — the drug reference, formula sheet, and glossary are open to everyone. To practice or work through a lesson you start a free account (no email, no card), which is what saves your progress and tracks your readiness score.
How many practice questions are there?
1,460 questions, blueprint-balanced across all four domains, enough for 14 full-length practice exams before a question repeats. Most have been checked against primary sources (FDA labels, DEA and USP rules); the rest are machine-generated calculation variants whose arithmetic is verified two independent ways. Some questions are deliberate variations on one concept — the same way the real exam re-asks an idea with different numbers — so you practice it from more than one angle. Plus matching, flashcards, typed recall, case vignettes, a pharmacy-math gym, and full practice exams.
Will it actually get me ready to pass?
It covers all four domains to the exam’s real weights and adapts to your weak spots so your time goes where it moves the needle most. Your projected exam score (on the real 10001600 scale, pass 1400) tells you honestly when you’re there.
Does it cover pharmacy math?
Yes — dedicated calculation lessons (days supply, concentrations, dilutions, alligation, IV rates) each with worked examples, plus a Math Gym that shows one worked, then you try.
Does it work on my phone?
Fully. ExamDayReady is built mobile-first with a thumb-reachable tab bar and big tap targets — study on the bus, in line, wherever you have a few minutes.
How does the readiness score work?
It projects your PTCE-scale score (10001600, pass 1400) by weighting your percent-correct in each domain by that domain’s share of the exam. Domains you haven’t started count as zero, so it climbs honestly as you cover the whole blueprint. The “Why is this my score?” panel on your Home page shows the exact math.
Is my data private?
We keep it to what runs the app: your exam date and your answers, tied to an anonymous ID — no name or email required to study. We also record a few product events (a first visit, starting a plan, hitting the free limit) so we can see where people get stuck; those are stored on our own servers with that same ID, not shipped to an analytics company. If you choose to save your progress with an email, or write to us, we keep that too — and you can ask us to delete it. No ad tracking, and we never sell anything. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
Is ExamDayReady affiliated with the PTCB?
No. PTCB® and PTCE® are registered trademarks of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. ExamDayReady is an independent study tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by PTCB.
