- Caution
- Hypoglycemia; never mix with other insulins in a syringe; concentrated U-300 (Toujeo) is dosed in units from its pen only, never drawn into a U-100 syringe, and is not clinically equivalent to Lantus unit for unit.
- Storage
- Unopened vials and pens in the refrigerator (36 to 46 °F), never frozen; in-use at room temperature for 28 days.
- Pregnancy
- Preferred treatment for diabetes in pregnancy.
