Thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents; contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2.
- Caution
- Pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and slowed gastric emptying that can delay oral drug absorption and raise aspiration risk with anesthesia.
- Storage
- Refrigerate before first use; Ozempic in-use pen at room temperature or refrigerated for 56 days (Wegovy pens: up to 28 days out of the refrigerator); protect from light and never freeze.
- Pregnancy
- Stop at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy; not recommended during pregnancy.
