- Hypoglycemia: inject 5 to 10 minutes before a meal, and never share pens or needles.

- Unopened vials and pens in the refrigerator (36 to 46 °F), never frozen; in-use at room temperature for 28 days.

- Preferred treatment for diabetes in pregnancy.
