Caution
Non-selective: contraindicated in asthma and used with caution in COPD because it blocks beta-2 receptors in the lungs.

  • Slow heartbeat

  • Additive slowing with verapamil or diltiazem

  • Do not stop abruptly. Rebound chest pain or fast heart rate can follow
