Lorazepam

Profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and death when combined with opioids; abuse, misuse, addiction, and withdrawal reactions on abrupt stopping.

Caution
Falls and confusion in older adults; respiratory depression with other CNS depressants.
Storage
Injection and oral concentrate require refrigeration; tablets at room temperature.
Pregnancy
Avoid if possible: neonatal sedation and withdrawal, especially with late-pregnancy use.
